On Friday, Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Mike Polito, Principal with Third Party Reimbursement Solutions will provide a detailed assessment of the 2021 Medicare inpatient rules, with an emphasis on the Inpatient Prospective Payment System final rule.

Mr. Polito has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare regulatory services. His areas of expertise include Medicare cost reporting, Medicare DSH, medical education, organ acquisition, nursing and allied health, Medicare bad debts, and Medicare wage index. Over the last 10 years, Third Party Reimbursement (TPR) has evolved into a national consulting firm and provides full service Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement services.

On Friday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Jill Griffith and Josh Steedley, both Senior Managers from Dixon Hughes Goodman, will analyze the 2021 Outpatient Prospective Payment System rule.

With 35 years in healthcare, Ms. Griffith brings a unique perspective with her ability to draw upon her hospital operational experience and her keen understanding of government and commercial payments system regulations. Her prior experience includes fiscal intermediary auditor, corporate director of reimbursement and chief compliance officer for large health systems that includes hospitals, large and small as well as physician practice groups and post-acute care components.

Mr. Steedley serves as senior manager with DHG Healthcare’s National Reimbursement Practice with over 16 years of healthcare experience. He serves clients on a wide range of engagements involving Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, appeals, provider based and rural health clinic assessments and conversions, Medicare bad debt, and other general reimbursement services.
